These maples have a weeping or cascading growth habit with fine deeply divided foliage. The delicate dissected leaves are Purple in colour which turn shades of gold and orange in the Autumn.
It has a slow to moderate growth rate and is deciduous in winter.
Will grow to 1.5-2.5m wide and tall.
Like a sunny spot, well drained rich soil. Hardy and deciduous in winter.
Good bonsai subject.
