These clivia plants have impressive clusters deep red-orange of flowers which are grow above broad, shiny green, strappy foliage. The leaves are wider than other varieties such as clivia miniata.
Clivia are a clumping perennial which like a semi shady position in the garden and look great when planted in groups under trees. Clivia like moist soils, enriched with organic matter and good drainage but do OK in poorer soils.
They are not frost hardy but will endure some cold conditions.
The will grow to an eventual height: 0.4 to 0.5m and width 0.5m
Flowers are mainly in spring but can occur at different times of the year.
